In Poland, ENGIE has established a formidable 758 MW / 2,156 MWh portfolio. This includes the acquisition of the 250 MW / 1,000 MWh Tursko Wielkie project and a 438 MW project in Trębaczew from Futureal and Mithra Energy. Additionally, the company is advancing an adjacent 70 MW project to integrate into a larger 320 MW facility. In Romania, ENGIE acquired a ready-to-build 54 MW / 216 MWh project in Călan and has 85 MW currently under construction.

ENGIE's expansion is not limited to Central and Eastern Europe. In Spain, the company is constructing a 200 MW / 800 MWh development in Tarifa and acquired an additional 66 MW / 264 MWh asset in the same city. In Belgium, construction has commenced on a 74 MW / 296 MWh BESS at Coo, complementing existing pumped-storage hydro facilities. Furthermore, ENGIE is building two 10 MW / 45 MWh systems co-located with wind farms in Portugal and recently inaugurated its largest Dutch BESS, the 35 MW / 100 MWh Maxima system in Lelystad.
These projects are scheduled for commissioning between 2027 and 2029, solidifying ENGIE's position as a leading player in the European energy storage market.
